Burn County

Sand City Studio in North Myrtle Beach, run by Ty Weathers. RIAA gold, nine Billboard top tens. every credit, every record, and the live property studio raine built for them, in one place.

11 placements, two no. 1s6 certifications, 4 platinum2.1b+ streams

what the build does.

burncounty.com is custom software Studio Raine designed and built for Sand City Studio: the label's records, the credits, and studio session booking on their own domain, laid out to read like the label sounds, with no template or builder under it and no monthly platform rent. it is the Roster tier, the same shape covered on record label website design, already running.

it ran on the same terms every Studio Raine engagement runs on: the number and the ship date fixed in writing before anything was built, and every asset in the client's name at launch. the live property is embedded below, and it scrolls.

the platform, as software.

  • one build under three properties: Sand City Studio, the Burn County catalog and the marketing arm, one operator.
  • one storefront and one customer list across all three, on domains registered in the label's name.
  • checkout on Stripe Direct: a record sale or a booked session lands in Burn County's own Stripe account, with no platform commission.
  • studio session booking on the label's own domain.
  • the records wall feeding Sand City Studio's own site, so a record added once shows in both places.
  • the catalog behind it: nine Billboard top tens and an RIAA gold record, the client's own credits, every one on the records page of this site.

the same shape is sold as custom software for the music industry, and the other agencies that build it are compared on the music software companies page.

the brief was one platform standing in for three properties under one operator. Sand City Studio, the Burn County catalog and the label's marketing arm read like three separate businesses because they serve three separate audiences, session clients, catalog listeners, and the labels who book into the room. before the build they ran as three logins and three different ideas of what the site even was. the platform had to make Ty Weathers' single operation legible as one, without pretending a studio, a record label and a marketing arm are the same job.

the store runs on Stripe Direct. money from a record sale or a booked session lands in Burn County's own Stripe account, with no marketplace escrow and no platform taking a percentage before the label sees a dollar. there is no BeatStars-style commission or monthly store rent either, and the checkout code was written for this label specifically.

underneath the three brands is one build. the records wall on this page feeds Sand City Studio's own site directly, so a chart placement never gets re-typed in two places. session booking, the catalog and the marketing arm's own pages run on the same codebase and the same domain infrastructure, so adding a record or a booking slot is one change, not three. every credential to all of it sits with Ty Weathers, not with Studio Raine, the same way every Studio Raine build ships.
